CLSO Oceania deploys TRIAXYS Directional Wave Buoy to ensure safe entry into Burnie Port

We at CLSO have recently deployed a TRIAXYS™ Directional Wave Buoy as part of an under-keel monitoring system. The buoy measures wave height and direction in real time to ensure safe passage for large vessels into Burnie Port.

The TRIAXYS™ Directional Wave Buoy is a solar-powered precision instrument incorporating advanced technologies that make it an easy-to-use, reliable and rugged buoy for accurate measurement of directional waves. The sensor unit is comprised of three accelerometers, three rate gyros, a fluxgate compass, the proprietary TRIAXYS™ Processor and a g3 wave sensor.

The system is connected to a virtual computer and sends data back to base via UHF connection. The data can be accessed remotely in real time from any location.
